Diane M. Works

November 18, 1952 — December 23, 2016

Diane Works, 64, entered into eternal rest on the morning of Friday, December 23, 2016.

Born in Attalla, Alabama on November 18, 1952, Diane was the daughter of the late Tom W. and Eva J. Malcolm. Growing up in Etowah County, Alabama, she graduated from Etowah High School and soon after married the love of her life, Ron L. Works. Diane spent her first few years of marriage as a military wife supporting her husband as they moved from place to place. The family finally settled in Weaver, Alabama where she dedicated her life to raising her sons and making their home a happy one.

The Works Family moved to Warner Robins in 1986 where Diane took a job in the Medical Records Department at the hospital on Robins Air Force Base. She had a very distinguished career there receiving several awards. Diane retired in late 1998. In her retirement years, she and her husband enjoyed several years traveling in a motorhome. Diane also enjoyed things like reading and watching Alabama Football, but she loved spending time with her family and spoiling her grandson most of all.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 45 years, Ron Works on November 18th of this year; and her brother, Tom W. Malcolm, Jr.

Diane leaves her memory behind with her loving sons, Jeffrey Lynn Works and Joseph Ray Works (Sarah), both of Warner Robins, and Donnie Hall of Archdale, North Carolina; and grandson, Mason Bryant Works.

At the family's request, her services will be private.

In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully suggests memorial donations be given in memory of Diane to the Multiple Sclerosis Society, 455 Abernathy Rd. NE, Atlanta, GA 30328.
