Dianna Walker Wilbanks

September 22, 1957 — June 19, 2019

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Mama, Grandma, and Bestie, Dianna Walker Wilbanks, age 61, of Savannah. She passed away on Wednesday, June 19, 2019.

She was born in Hawkinsville, GA on September 22, 1957 to the late Emmanuel and Thelma Walker of Cochran. She was preceded in death by the love of her life and husband, Robert Michael Wilbanks of Bonaire.

Dianna leaves behind three children, their families, and the best friend of her life, who love and will miss her greatly: Son, Eric Wilbanks of Bonaire (grandson, Aaron Lowe); Daughter and Son-in-Law, Kristi and AJ Hawkins of Savannah (grandchildren, AJ IV and Amelia); Daughter and Son-in-Law, Laci and John Gravely of Fort Valley (grandchildren, Kate Johnson, John-Parker, and Camellia Gravely); and the best rummy opponent she had the pleasure of playing, Jenelle Brabham, aka “Grandma Nell” of Savannah.

In addition to her husband and parents, Dianna was also preceded in death by her brother, Jimmy Walker of Cochran.

The most enjoyable years of her life were spent in Savannah, reading on the back porch, playing cards with Nell, Scrabble with Kristi, and making faces through the glass door with her squishy face grandbabies. Dianna enjoyed sharing memories of her love for horseback riding, playing the piano, and enjoying the outdoors. She taught us all how to jam to the oldies, eat dessert first, and double over in laughter at the most inopportune moments!

Mama always wanted to do more for the needy than she was able to. She was most fulfilled when delivering blankets to the homeless during the winter months. We respectfully ask that in lieu of flowers, you donate warmth to those in need. You may deliver your blanket donations to McCullough Funeral Home.

We invite you all to join us for a graveside service on Monday, July 1, 2019 at one o’clock in the afternoon in Bonaire Cemetery, 201 Church Street, Bonaire, GA 31005.

Dress casually as we join together in celebration of her life here and eternal, as she is now and forever dancing with Jesus!

McCullough Funeral Home and Crematory has the privilege of being entrusted with these arrangements.
