Dominic Antoine "Dtexn" Thompson

Dominic Thompson was born on August 1, 1989 and was taken from us on Saturday, September 8, 2018 in a fatal automobile accident in San Marcos, Texas.

Dominic was born in Incirlik, Turkey and from the very beginning he did what he wanted when he wanted! So much so he tried to get here 6 weeks early. The doctor was like, “No, you still need to cook some more!” He had an infectious smile and marched to his own beat. Not only was Dominic book smart, he was street smart as well, which gave him an advantage in any situation he found himself in. Dominic always stood up for himself and any others that he truly cared about. He was a natural leader and did things the way he wanted good or bad. His charm, charisma, and personality drew people to him. Dominic’s drive and determination came from his mother, Carol, because she instilled those values in him at a very early age. She also taught him to always strive for greatness. If you are going to do anything, be the best!

He is survived by his mother, Carol D. Thompson Humphrey of Bonaire, GA; father, Darren Tutt (Linette) of Richmond, VA; sibling, Aalyah Humphrey of Oxford, MS; godmother, Pamela Gardner (Michael) of Columbia, SC; aunts, Regina Thompson Douglas and Cheryle Thompson both of Houston, TX, and Lajuna Thompson of Kathleen, GA; uncle, David Thompson Jr. of Memphis, TN; cousins, Bryan Howard, Quentin Douglas, and Cameron Douglas all of Houston, TX, Jessica Jackson of Kathleen, GA, Kevin Jackson of Columbia, SC, Michael Jones of Fort Walton Beach, FL, Davarious Thompson of Nashville, TN and Christopher Thompson of Memphis, TN; and a host of second cousins. He is proceeded in death by his maternal grandparents, Clara and David Thompson, Sr. of Memphis, TN

A memorial gathering will be Saturday, September 15, 2018, from 5:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. A memorial service will follow at 6:00 p.m. in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home.
