Donald C. Cartwright, 60, entered into rest on Wednesday, January 27, 2010.

Mr. Cartwright was born on May 17, 1949, in Athens, Kentucky. With pride and honor he served his country for four years in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam conflict and he served sixteen years with the Georgia Air National Guard, before retiring as a Technical Sergeant. Mr. Cartwright also worked for civil service at Robins Air Force Base for forty years as an electronics and computer resource specialist. He was proud of completing his education by getting his Associate degree in Business from Macon State College. Westminster Presbyterian Church was his church home. He was preceded in death by his parents, Clyde and Katherine Cartwright; sister, Marie Pierce; and brothers, William Earl, Kenneth and Charles Cartwright.

His memory will forever be treasured by his loving wife of thirty-eight years, Beverly Hager Cartwright; daughter, Dawn Tanya (Andy) Fulton, Mableton, Georgia; son, Shawn Wayne Cartwright, Byron; sisters, Jeanette (Jerry) Evans, Louisville, Kentucky; Linda (Larry) Bogie, Oldsmar, Florida; granddaughters, Katherine Bailey Wheelus, Hailey Mae Fulton and Ashley Brooke Fulton; and many loving nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be Sunday, January 31, 2010 from 7:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, February 1, 2010 in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home, Reverend Glenn Gilstrap officiating. Interment will follow in Andersonville Cemetery with full military honors. Donations may be made to the American Heart Association, 5962 Zebulon Road #359, Macon Georgia 31210.
