Donald Joe Harlowe

Joe Harlowe, 80, passed away on Tuesday, December 15, 2020. He was born in Counts, Virginia on March 7, 1940, to the late Homer and Princie Harlowe. Mr. Harlowe was a proud veteran of the United States Air Force and retired from Lee’s Rental Center as a maintenance technician. He will always be remembered for being helpful when and where he could, and also for his friendly disposition.

In addition to his parents, Joe was preceded in death by his grandparents, Chalk and Julie Harlowe, and Elijah and Pratina Counts; brothers, Velmar, Jack, Ralph, Carroll, Gene Harlowe; and sisters, Marie Smith, Gladys Faye Cooper, Paula Fuller, Virginia Seale, and June Byers.

Those left to cherish his memory are his children, Donald Joe Harlowe, Jr. and Betty Sue Harlowe Penry; and his sisters, Sue Davis and Ruth Harlowe.

Joe’s private interment will take place on Sunday, December 20, 2020, in Parkway Memorial Gardens.
