Donald S. Thrasher

Donald Thrasher, 81, passed away on Saturday, January 27, 2018.

Donald was born on April 7, 1936 in Farmington, Georgia to the late Truman and Mary Smith Thrasher. He proudly served in the United States Air Force during the Korean War. Later, he began his career at Robins Air Force Base as an electronic supervisor of plant services. Donald had a zest for life; he enjoyed being outdoors especially camping, grilling, gardening, and fishing. He was an avid Georgia Bulldogs, Atlanta Falcons, and Atlanta Braves fan always watching and attending any games he could. Donald enjoyed keeping up with and informing others about the weather and always enjoyed playing with babies. His family was his number one priority in life; he spent every moment he could with them, even coached his children’s baseball teams when they were younger.

His memory will forever be treasured by his loving wife of 30 years, Susan Thrasher of Warner Robins; children, Donna Jo Thomas (Robert) of Fayette, Alabama, Brenda Kay Adams of Fort Valley, Robert Thrasher (Sherri) of Byron, Pamela Jean Reeder (David) of Macon, Angela Faye Trammell of Hawkinsville; grandchildren, Robbie, William, Dennis, Jr., Brian, Hunter, Dakota, Austin, Andy, Justin, Josh, Casey, Kenneth, Brittany, Candace; 10 great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be Tuesday, January 30, 2018 from 12:00 p.m. until 1:30 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. A funeral service will follow at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of McCullough. After the service, Donald will be laid to rest in Parkway Memorial Gardens with military honors.
