Doris Juanita Wilbanks

In the early morning hours of Sunday, April 15, 2018, Doris Wilbanks, 86, passed away at Houston Medical Center.

Doris was born on August 26, 1931 to the late Willie and Eula Towns Powell. She was a loving and devoted homemaker whose family was always her highest priority. Doris lived most of her life in Warner Robins and was a member of the group the “Crossbearers”. In the spare time she loved to read and enjoyed math. Doris was a member of New Savannah Baptist Church in Sylva, North Carolina. She was preceded in death by her husband of over 58 years, Jimmy Wilbanks, and children, Jack William Wilbanks Mike Wilbanks, and Alva Myrtis Wilbanks.

Her memory will forever be treasured by her grandchildren, Juanita Barfield (Lee) of Warner Robins, Jennifer Wilbanks of Twiggs County, Eric Wilbanks of Bonaire, Kristi Hawkins (A.J.) of Savannah, and Laci Gravely (John) of Fort Valley; great-grandchildren, Crystal, C.J., Dewayne, Jack, Catie, J.P., Cami, A.J., Jr., Aaron; great great-grandchildren, Hannah, Dixie, Jayda; daughters-in-law, Judy Wilbanks of Warner Robins and Dianna Wilbanks of Savannah; and sister, Marjorie Prottsman (Wayne) of Franklin, North Carolina.

Visitation will be Thursday, April 19, 2018 from 2:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. A memorial service will immediately follow at 3:00 p.m. in the Chapel of McCullough.
