Doris Noles

December 24, 1931 — July 17, 2022

An angel on earth, Doris Darsey Noles gained her wings and was reunited with her husband, Oscar A. Noles, in Heaven on Sunday, July 17, 2022.

On Christmas Eve in 1931, Doris was born to the late David Joseph and Winnie Bell Horton Darsey in Wheeler County, Georgia. She grew up in Cochran, and lived in Bonaire for 35 years before returning to her hometown to care for her mother. Never having idle hands, she was an exceptional seamstress and homemaker. Doris was also intelligent and a tremendous caretaker, who dearly loved her family. Nicknamed “Tinci" by her family and hometown friends, to most she was known as "Mama Noles," and her Bonaire friends knew her as Doris, all adored her. Doris helped those in need and gave the best hugs. She enjoyed listening to country music, dancing, working with her flowers and crafts. A supportive mother, she coached softball and was a team mom. With an eye for interior design, Doris took delight in helping others decorate. All will miss her sweet spirit.

In addition to her parents and husband, her sons, David and Robert Noles; four sisters, and two brothers preceded Doris in death.
Her memory will forever be treasured by her children, Lowery Noles (JoAnne) of Eastman, Reggie Noles (Faye) of Cochran, Lori Haynes (Mike) of Bonaire, Bradley Noles, and Brandi Noles, both of Cochran; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren; a host of beloved nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends; as well as her dog, “Piggy.”
