Dorothy C. Clay, 83, passed away on Saturday, May 28, 2005 after a courageous battle with Parkinson’s disease. Graveside services will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday, June 4, 2005 at Magnolia Park Cemetery Visitation will be from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. on Friday, June 3, 2005 at McCullough Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Parkinson’s Foundation 1359 Broadway, Ste. 1509 New York, New York 10018, Centerville Baptist Building Fund 505 North Houston Lake Blvd. Centerville, Georgia 31028, or Hospice of Houston County 103 Westridge Drive Warner Robins, Georgia 31088.

Mrs. Clay graduated from Dublin High School and graduated from Dudley Hughes in 1965 as a licensed practical nurse. She retired from Robins Air Force Base where she worked in Civil Service. Mrs. Clay was a member of First Baptist Church Centerville and the Fellowship Sunday School Class. She was a member of both the Warner Robins Senior Citizens and the Houston County Senior Citizens. Mrs. Clay was a member of the Crochet Club of Warner Robins and Martha Berry Chapter of the Easter Star. She had an intense love for the Lord and all of His creations, especially birds. She loved to fish and was an avid fan of the Atlanta Braves and Bill Elliott. A talented seamstress, who was proficient in all forms of needlework, she taught knitting to students at Northside High School. Mrs. Clay was a very strong person who was always there to lend a helping hand. She will be greatly missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing her. She was a wonderful, loving mother, Nan and BoBo. Preceding her in death were husband, Bob Clay, Sr.; parents, A.J. and Martha Cooper; brothers, A.J., Barron (A.B.), and Gary Cooper.

Survivors include, daughter, Pat (Elwood) Ogilvie, Jacksonville, FL; son, Bob Clay, Jr., Warner Robins, GA; sisters, Evelyn Brown, Stockbridge, GA; and Helen Allen, Dublin, GA; grandsons, Drew Reinhard and Matt Brantley, both of Warner Robins; great grandchildren, Samantha and Chris Reinhard, both of Warner Robins; and Kaleb Brantley, Hawkinsville; and her special friend, Roberta Monroe.
