Dot Morris, 79, held hands again with her beloved husband, Ray Morris, in heaven on the morning of Monday, February 19, 2018.
Dot was born in Americus, Georgia on August 8, 1938 to the late Jack and Rosa Lee Patton Wilson. She lived most of her life in Warner Robins and enjoyed serving in the lunchroom of Russell Elementary for 25 years before retiring. A longtime and faithful member of Grace Baptist Church, Dot loved her church and church family. She also loved children and worked in the church’s nursery. Dot was a wonderful wife, mother, and grandmother, and her love for cooking, spending time with her children, and worshiping the Lord will always be remembered by all who knew her.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Kathryn Davis.
Dot’s memory will forever be treasured by her loving children, Michael Ray Morris (Angelia) of Roberta and Mary Kaye Boyd (Ken) of Warner Robins; grandchildren, Kristina Williams (Scott), Kyle Solie, and Kayla Hensley (Randall) and Kelly Boyd; great-grandchildren, Tristan Williams and Lawson Boyd, and Lindzie and Jaylee Hensley; sisters, LeNoir Arnold of Americus and June Thigpen of Sandersville; brother, Jimmy Wilson (Carol) of Alpharetta; aunt, Louise Warren of Americus; and a host of adoring nieces, nephews, and extended family.
Visitation will be Thursday, February 22, 2018, from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. A funeral service will follow at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home with Pastor Paul Mullen officiating. Following the service, Dot will be laid to rest in Centerville Cemetery next to her husband, Ray.
The family will accept flowers or donations may be given in memory of Dot Morris to Grace Baptist Church Building Fund, 204 S. Pleasant Hill Rd., Warner Robins, GA 31088.
