Dorothy Sapp Deane

In the early morning hours of Monday, February 5, 2018, Dorothy Deane, 88, passed away peacefully.

Dorothy was born on August 4, 1929 in Adel, Georgia to the late George and Dorcus Tanner Sapp. She worked at Robins Air Force Base as an inventory control specialist until her retirement. Dorothy was a longtime active member of Second Baptist Church and the Vera Merritt Sunday school class. She was a true southern cook and was known far and near for her biscuits. Dorothy always lived life to the fullest with very high standards. She had a beautiful smile, loved to travel, and will be dearly missed by all who knew her.

Her great-granddaughter, Samantha, sister, Juanita Massey, and husband, Lanier Napier, preceded her in death.

Her memory will forever be treasured by her children, Sandra Napier Nelson (James) of Warner Robins, Gail Napier Smith (George) of Macon, Joe Napier (Bridgett) of Kathleen; grandchildren, Tammy Brown Davis, Jami Denny Conover (Brent), Jocelyn Napier Vance (Jim), Brittany Napier Adkison (Zach), Lanier Napier; 10 great-grandchildren; sisters, Betty Hewitt of Warner Robins, Sally Harrell of Milledgeville, Pat Smith of Macon, and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be Wednesday, February 7, 2018 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 8, 2018 in the Chapel of McCullough. Following the service, Dorothy will be laid to rest in Magnolia Park Cemetery, Reverend Mike Slade will officiate the service.
