Dwight E Spengler

Dwight E. Spengler, 88, entered into rest on Sunday, January 18, 2009.

Mr. Spengler was born on December 16, 1920, in South Charleston, Ohio. He was a veteran who proudly served in the United States Air Force during World War II and a retired civil servant. An electronic technician, he worked for the National Aeronautic and Space Administration (NASA) for seventeen years. He was a member of the American Legion, Perry Post. He was predeceased by his parents, Oliver E. Spengler and Iva Spengler and siblings, John Spengler, Wayne Spengler and Lucille Trinkle.

His memory will forever be treasured by his wife of fifty-five years, Betty Spengler, Bonaire; daughter, Judith Peak (Chandos); son, Mark Spengler (Susan); grandchildren, Christopher and Charles Peak, Alaine and Mindy Spengler, Jessie Boler and Annie Wiley (Ed); six great-grandchildren and a number of nephews and nieces.

Visitation will be Tuesday, January 20, 2009 from 7:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m on Wednesday, January 21, 2009 in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home with entombment following in Magnolia Park Mausoleum with full military honors. The reverend Steve Trinkle will officiate. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to Heart of Georgia Inpatient Hospice, 1120 Morningside Drive, Perry GA 31069.
