Dwight Shaffer

Dwight Shaffer, 70, entered into rest on September 10, 2008.

Mr. Shaffer was born on August 7, 1938, in Marion, Ohio. He graduated from Pleasant High School, Ohio, where he participated in basketball, baseball and track. An avid car enthusiast, he was a member of the Marion Fly Wheels Car Club and a trustee at Grace Baptist Church in Marion, Ohio. He was also a member of Southside Baptist Church in Warner Robins where he served as an usher. Until retirement, he had been employed in sales at Smith Dairy. His parents, Lawrence and Lena Shaffer, preceded him in death.

His memory will forever be treasured by his wife of forty-five years, Loretta Shaffer; daughters, Renet Jackson (Dan), Warner Robins, and Wendi Shaffer, Marion; grandchildren, Adrianne Marsh, Zachary Marsh, Carli Roye (Travis), Andrew Lucas and Annaliese Jackson; great-grandchildren, Zachary Davies, Elizabeth Davies and Porter Shane; brother, Richard Shaffer (Karen), McComb, Ohio; and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be Friday, September 12, 2008, 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 13, 2008, in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home; Reverend Randall Nash officiating. Interment will follow in Parkway Memorial Gardens. Flowers will be accepted or memorial donations may be made to Southside Baptist Church, 1040 South Houston Lake Road, Warner Robins, GA 31088 or Grace Baptist Church, 1560 Marion Marysville Road, Marion OH 43302.
