Edgar H. Mantei

Warner Robins, GA – Edgar H. Mantei, 72, died Sunday, February 24, 2002 at his home. Funeral services will be held at 3:00pm on Tuesday, February 26 in the Chapel of McCullough Funeral Home with interment following at Magnolia Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 Monday evening at the funeral home.

Mr. Mantei was born in St. Joseph, Michigan. He retired as supervisor from the U.S. Postal Service and was also the former owner of Mantei Construction Company. He was a retired Staff Sergeant and veteran of the Korean Conflict having served in the United States Air Force. He was of the Lutheran faith.

His wife, Jo Marlene Greer Mantei and parents, Adolf and Olga Mantei preceded him in death.

Survivors include his sons, Ricky A. Mantei, Columbia SC, Darrell L. Mantei, Warner Robins; brothers, Eugene Mantei, St. Joseph, MI, Harry Mantei, St. Joseph, MI, Arthur Mantei, Copenhagen, Denmark; grandchildren, Charlie Mantei, Columbia, SC, Darrell Mantei Jr. and Joshua Mantei, both of Warner Robins.
