Edith "Edie" Spargo

Edith W. Spargo, 86, died on April 15, 2009.

Born on September 22, 1922, in Greeneville, Tennessee, Edie spent thirty years as a social worker, the last ten of those at Rosewood Hospital in Houston, Texas. A resident of Centerville since 2003, she was a member of Centerville United Methodist Church. Edie was preceded in death by her husband of sixty years, Don Braden Spargo.

Treasuring her memory are daughters; Betty Jo Lane, Centerville, and Donna Walker (Art), Bossier City, Louisiana; grandchildren, Brian Lane, Amy Dowdy, Laura White, Todd Walker, Mark Walker, Lindsey Hutchinson, and Kelsey Walker; and thirteen great-grandchildren.

She was deeply loved by many, loved many deeply, and she will be greatly missed. A family memorial service will be held May 2, 2009, at DeGray State Park in Bismarck, Arkansas.
