Edwin Ragan Arnold

On the morning of Friday, October 30, 2020, Edwin Ragan Arnold, 76, passed away peacefully at Pine Pointe Hospice in Macon, Georgia. He died of congestive heart failure.

Born in Albany, Georgia on March 8, 1944, Edwin was raised in Dawson, Georgia by the late Ragan and Martha Lowrey Arnold. He graduated from Gordon Military College and attended the University of Georgia before enlisting in the United States Army National Guard. After his time in the military, Edwin held careers in automotive and insurance sales. In 1987, he and his wife, Sharon, moved to Warner Robins and he later retired from Allen Insurance Group. Edwin was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting, fishing, and spending time with his family and grandchildren. He was also a proud Shriner and Mason and was of the Baptist faith.

Those left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 44 years, Sharon Cantrell Arnold; children, Joe Cantrell Arnold (Misty) and Kala Arnold Fuller; grandchildren, Ragan and Brooks Fuller; sister, Joyce Arnold Barfield (Will); beloved dog, Penny; and a number of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

A private memorial service for the family will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, Edwin’s family respectfully requests memorial donations be given in his memory to the Shriners Hospitals for Children, Attn: Office of Development, 2900 Rocky Point Drive, Tampa, FL 33607 or to your favorite charity.
