Elaine H. Weaver

March 27, 1930 — June 6, 2022

A dedicated Christian, Elaine H. Weaver entered into the gates of Heaven on Monday, June 6, 2022. She was 92 years old.
Born on March 27, 1930, in Odenton, Maryland, Elaine was the daughter of the late John L. and Margaret Endzel Knowles. Spending the majority of her life in Maryland, she worked as a secretary at Prince George’s County Board of Education for many years until her retirement. She was serious and often did things her own way. Elaine enjoyed doing crafts, solving puzzles, and taking dance lessons. She was also an avid reader and to say Elaine cared deeply for others would be an understatement. She helped with the opening of Laurel Beltsville Hospital before retiring to Naples, Florida. Later, Elaine returned to Middle Georgia area where she continued to serve as a volunteer at the local hospital’s gift shop and was a member of Oakland Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents, Elaine was preceded in death by her first husband of 42 years and father of her children, Donald K. Hall; second husband, Franklin Wayne “Frank” Weaver; daughter, Barbara Hall; and granddaughter, Rene Michelle Shipe Scolaro.

Her memory will forever be treasured by her children, Debbie Shipe (Clifford) of Savage, Maryland; and Donna Pierce of South Carolina; grandchildren, Brian Shipe (Jennifer), Tara McGee (Chris), Kelly Brown (Wendell), and Corey Shipe (Theresa); 10 great-grandchildren; and brother, Richard Knowles (Alice) of Pennsylvania.
