Elizabeth "Liz" Vaughn

Elizabeth "Liz" Vaughn, age 71, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday, October 10, 2008.

Born and raised in Wilcox County, she was the daughter of the late Plas and Alma Stone. She was a faithful member of Southside Baptist Church in Warner Robins. Liz loved her church and her church family. She retired from Robins Air Force Base after thirty-five years of service. Liz enjoyed her involvement with her Red Hat group, her ladies bible study group, and being a volunteer with the American Red Cross and Heart of Georgia Hospice. She had the heart of a servant and took delight in catering special events for her friends and family. Liz was a loving mother and grandmother and will be deeply missed.

Her memory will be treasured by her devoted husband, Billy Vaughn, Bonaire; daughters Sherry (Wayne) Robinson, Bonaire and Fran (Allen) Rowe, Macon; granddaughters, Dana (Hayden) Wiggins, Lindsey Robinson, and Alexis Rowe; sister Joyce Dominy, and brother, Early Stone, both of Abbeville.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 12, 2008 from 6:00pm to 8:00pm at McCullough Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. at Southside Baptist Church with interment following in Magnolia Park Cemetery. Flowers will be accepted or donations may be made to Heart of Georgia Hospice, 103 Westridge Dr. Warner Robins, GA 31088.
