Ellie E. Hancock, 88, passed away on Friday, September 16, 2005 at Summerhill Elder Living Home. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, September 20 in Sylvester City Cemetery in Worth County. Visitation will be Monday, September 19 from 6 until 8 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home

Mrs. Hancock was born in Sylvester, Georgia on May 13, 1917. She was a member of Christ United Methodist Church in Warner Robins and a former member and Sunday school teacher at Hand Memorial Methodist Church in Pelham, Georgia, where she lived for 45 years. Mrs. Hancock was a school teacher with Pelham City School System Board of Education. Her parents, John and Effie Etheredge, and her brother, William O. Etheredge preceded her in death.

Survivors include her husband, Malcolm A. Hancock, Warner Robins; daughters, Susan H. Johnson, Athens and Martha Leslein, Warner Robins; sister, Sara Teeter, Virginia; and three grandchildren.
