Elsie E. Bender

Elsie E. Bender was born on August 4, 1931 and died on June 25, 2013.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Bender; her parents, Carl and Alice Anderson; and sisters, Undine Reilly and Lorraine Peterson.

She is survived by her stepdaughter, Jeannie McGrath and her two children; sisters, Jean Hughes and Carroll Bennett; and brothers, Carl and Fred Anderson.

Affectionately known as Molly, she was a master at saying the unexpected, irrespective of the time, place or person to whom her remarks were directed. It has recently been said that "winters must be cold for those with no warm memories." If that is the case, her family and friends will never be cold in the winter. To sum up her life in one phrase… everyone loved Elsie. She never met a stranger and will forever be remembered as a kind lady who cherished her family, her friends and the last eight years she spent in Warner Robins.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
