Emalee Riane Formica

Emalee Riane Formica, 22, entered into her Heavenly Father's arms on, Wednesday, October 8, 2014.

Emalee was born on September 25, 1992 in Ft. Knox, Kentucky. She was a member of the Catholic Church. In 2010, she graduated from Starkville Academy, in Starkville, Mississippi. Emalee was a 2014 graduate of the Savannah College of Art and Design, earning a Bachelor's Degree in Fashion Photography. Emalee enjoyed tennis, horse-back riding, traveling, kayaking and spending time with her family and friends. Emalee was very creative and enjoyed painting, drawing, web-design, crocheting, knitting and using her gifts to share the beauty she saw in God's creation. She recently spent time in France through her studies with SCAD. Photography was her passion and Emalee was looking forward to her recent employment in the Atlanta area in that field.

Her memory will forever be treasured by her mother, Kim Formica, Warner Robins; father, Pete Formica, Pensacola, Florida; brother, Raymond Formica, Warner Robins; maternal grandparents, Jeannine and Raymond Dionne, Gautier, Mississippi; paternal grandparents, Maxine Velma Formica, Wiggins Mississippi and Pietro J. Formica, Biloxi, Mississippi; Aunts and Uncles, John and Dawn McGinley, Starkville, Mississippi; Lanny and Peggy Daves, Sacramento, California; Teresa Formica, Tony Formica and Conrad Formica all of the Mississippi Gulf Coast area; Mary Formica, Jackson, Mississippi; and numerous cousins.

Visitation will be Tuesday, October 14, 2014, from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, October 14, 2014 in Sacred Heart Catholic Church with entombment following in Magnolia Park Mausoleum. A memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 18, 2014 in St. Joseph Catholic Church in Starkville, Mississippi, with a reception following.

In lieu of flowers, the family has asked that we honor Emalee's memory by supporting one of the organizations that were close to her heart. Donations may be made to the Starkville Area Arts Council, 101 South Lafayette Street, Suite 18, Starkville, MS, 39759 or to the Oktibbeha County Humane Society, P.O. Box 297, Starkville, MS, 39760. Please indicate "Emalee Formica" on the check.
