He was a dedicated member of the VFW Post #6605 for over 55 years, the American Legion Post #172 for over 60 years, and the Transportation Communication Union (TCU). Emmett was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, son, and friend. He will be dearly missed by all of those who loved and knew him.

In addition to his parents, Emmett was preceded in death by his loving wife, Ruth McEachern; siblings, Marvin McEachern; Mary Everett, James McEachern, and Eloise Bembry.

His memory will forever be treasured by his daughters, Lynda Brand (Ronnie) of Centerville, Lois Harper (Damon) of Tifton, Donna Laurens (Donnie) of Macon; seven grandchildren; and twelve great grandchildren.
