Eric Charles Blazi

February 11, 1948 — February 16, 2021

Eric Charles Blazi, 73, went to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ in Heaven on Tuesday, February 16, 2021.

Mr. Blazi was born on February 11, 1948 in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, to the late Charles Joseph and Dorothy Eleanor Blazi. He graduated from Warner Robins High School and remained an avid football fan never missing a game. He earned his Bachelor’s Degree from Georgia College and worked on Robins Air Force Base in Communications until retirement. Mr. Blazi was a generous man who enjoyed being involved in his community. He spent many years organizing golf tournaments for the Museum of Aviation. He was also one of the founding members of the Christmas for Kids golf tournament, a current member of the Warner Robins Planning and Zoning Committee, and coached for the Warner Robins Recreation Department. He loved being around people and enjoyed cooking for them. Mr. Blazi hosted many Memorial and Labor Day cookouts and loved tailgating with his mobile kitchen at the Georgia—Florida games for many years. In his spare time, Mr. Blazi loved to read. He attended Shirley Hills Baptist Church. Most of all, he was a devoted husband, father, and friend who was dearly loved and will be deeply missed.

His memory will forever be treasured by his adoring wife of 49 years, Ava Blazi; children; Kimberly Ann Sexton (Tim) of Warner Robins; Eric Charles Blazi, Jr. (Genie) of Harrisburg, North Carolina; Kelly Lynn Ward (Ryan) of Warner Robins; grandchildren; Charlie Blazi, Addie Blazi, Shelby Blazi, Jesse Blazi, Ava Sexton, Rylynn Ward, Silas Ward, Ezra Sexton, Isaac Sexton, and Nyla Ward; sister; Ann Fremstad of Atlanta; nephew; Jason Fremstad (Katie) of Bentonville, Arkansas; and great-nephew; Sammy Fremstad. Mr. Blazi was preceded in death by his parents.
