Ernest Moss, D.O., M.D. (Ltc Army Ret.)

Ernest Moss, D.O., M.D. (LTC Army Ret.), 84, passed away on Monday, December 1, 2003 at the Georgia War Veterans Home in Milledgeville. A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, December 4, in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home. Interment will be private. The family will receive visitors on Wednesday from 7:00 until 9:00 p.m. in their home at 203 Horseshoe Drive, Warner Robins.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to the First Presbyterian Church of Warner Robins, 1139 Watson Blvd., Warner Robins, GA 31093.

LTC Moss was born in Everett, Massachusetts, and graduated from the Massachusetts College of Osteopathy and the Kansas City University of Physicians and Surgeons. A veteran of the Korean Conflict, he served in the United States Army for 21 years before his retirement in 1972. He then worked in Civil Service at the Occupational Health Clinic at Robins Air Force Base for twelve years and retired in 1985. LTC Moss attended the First Presbyterian Church of Warner Robins and was a member of the RAFB Officers Club. His parents, Ivar B. and Thora O. Moss, and all his brothers and sisters preceded him in death.

Survivors include his wife, Catherine “Kitty” Moss, Warner Robins; daughters, Karen Moss Barlow, Winston, GA, and Penny Moss Walker, Peach County; and six grandchildren, Sarah Walker, Robert Norman Barlow, Melanie Barlow, Jonathan Barlow, Rebecca Rhodes, and Matthew Rhodes.
