Ernestine Barry

Ernestine Fussell Barry, 87, entered into rest on Wednesday, June 23, 2010.

Mrs. Barry was born on November 2, 1922, in Abbeville, Georgia, and earned a Degree in Computer Programming. She later retired from civil service at Robins Air Force Base as a Computer Programmer. A former Pink Lady, she was a member of the Pilot Club and a volunteer at Meals on Wheels. She was also a Sunday school teacher, and Northside Baptist Church was her church home. She was preceded in death by her husband, Dan W. Barry, Jr.; son, Jimmy Clarke Barry; daughter, Katherine Reid Barry.

Her memory will forever be treasured by her son, Robert Michael Barry, Sr., Dawson, Georgia; sister, Nellie Cagle McDuffy, Macon; seven grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.

Visitation will be Saturday, June 26, 2010, from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 26, 2010, in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home, Reverend Ken Fennell officiating. Interment will follow in Mount Pleasant Baptist Church Cemetery, in Dooly County. In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully suggests memorial donations to Albany Community Hospice, 2332 Lake Park Drive, Albany GA 31707-3132.
