Essie Christmas Jordan

Essie C. Jordan, 85, entered into rest on Saturday, March 13, 2010.

The daughter of the late John Christmas and Nettie Mae Ward Christmas, she was born on February 26, 1925 in Vienna, Georgia. She retired from Robins Air Force Base in 1992 as a personnel administrative assistant. Green Acres Baptist Church was her church home where she was active in the Senior Group and Sunday School. She was preceded in death by her husband, Major Lee Jordan, and son, John H. Jordan.

She will live in the hearts of her daughter, Janice Scroggins, Warner Robins; grandchildren, Thomas Scroggins (Tenille), Perry; Vincent Scroggins, Warner Robins; Tara Scroggins, Warner Robins; Holly Jordan and Lee Jordan, both of Utah, and Heidi Hadi, Idaho; and twelve great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be Tuesday, March 16, 2010, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, March 17, 2010, at Green Acres Baptist Church, Pastor Johnny Ellison officiating. Interment will follow in Vienna Cemetery. Flowers will be accepted, or memorial donations may be made to Green Acres Baptist Church Building Fund, 901 Elberta Road, Warner Robins GA 31093.
