Estelle Westbrook Godbee

Estelle Godbee passed away peacefully on the afternoon of Monday, March 27, 2017 surrounded by all of her children and grandchildren. She joined her husband in Heaven where they will celebrate their 60th anniversary this year.

Born in 1935 in Bashi, Alabama, Estelle was the beautiful daughter of Miller and Erline Westbrook. A career mother, she fully dedicated her life to serving her husband, Joe, and raising her children to know and love God. Estelle was a devoted 50-year member of City Church (Formerly Southside Church of God) where she enjoyed small group bible study and fellowship with other members. She also loved to travel and garden. All who knew Estelle knew she was a woman of faith who lived for her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Freddie Joe Godbee; and brother, Samuel Westbrook.

Estelle's memory will forever be treasured by her loving children, Randy Godbee (Sandy) of Kathleen and Valerie Walker (Tony) of Perry; grandchildren, Jessica Stanley (JR), Heather Screen (MarKeith), Matt Godbee (Melissa), Jonathan Walker (Victoria), Evan Godbee (Ashley), and Chris Littlefield (Tiffany Morgan); great-grandchildren, Jaden, Brantley, Alexa, Aiden, and Claire; and her dear friend of 50 years, Helen Hollifield.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, March 30th in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home with visitation one hour prior to the service. Following the service, Estelle will be laid to rest in Magnolia Park Cemetery.
