Ethel S. Gatlin

Lillie Ethel Sellers Gatlin, 91, entered into rest on Thursday, June 02, 2011.

Mrs. Gatlin was born on October 19, 1919 in Wayne County, Mississippi. She was a longtime faithful member of Friendship Baptist Church. Ethel was a School Teacher with the Houston County Board of Education and with Central Fellowship Christian Academy. Her husband, George M. Gatlin; parents, T.O. Sellers and Nancy Jane Rogers Sellers; and her sister, Gladys Formby, all preceded her in death.

Her memory will forever be treasured by her loving children, Dwight M. Gatlin (Debbie), Hawkinsville; Janis L. Gatlin, Augusta; grandchildren, Nancy Ellen Martin, Samuel G. Gatlin, and Shane Savant; great grandchildren, Grace Martin, Alex Martin, Hannah Martin, Sarah Martin, Sidney Russell, Ethan Savant; brother, F.L. Sellers, Madison, Mississippi; many loving nieces and nephews, and so many other loving family members and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 4, 2011 at Friendship Baptist Church with the Reverend Paul Cowles officiating. Interment will be on Monday, June 6, 2011in Sandersville Baptist Church Cemetery, Sandersville, Mississippi with Kyle Gatlin officiating. In lieu of flowers the family respectfully suggests memorial donations be made in memory of Ethel Gatlin to Friendship Baptist Church, 1322 Feagin Mill Road, Warner Robins, Georgia 31088.
