Eunice Mcghee Justice

February 13, 1922 — December 2, 2018

Eunice McGhee Justice joined her Lord and Savior in Heaven on the evening of Sunday, December 2, 2018, at the age of 96.

Mother Justice, as she was lovingly called, was born on February 13, 1922 in Pennsylvania to the late Felix and Clara May (Chavous) McGhee. She graduated from Ohio State University in Columbus, Ohio, in 1959. Mother Justice worked at her business, Wood Photo News; at The Columbus Call & Post Newspaper; and as a Graphic Designer for the State of Ohio. She relocated to Los Angeles, California, where she worked as a social worker, a substitute school teacher, and had a community newspaper among other jobs.

In 1969, Mother Justice gave her life to Jesus Christ and entered new life as His child. Shortly thereafter, she prayed for and led her two children to the Lord she loved so much. She relocated to New York City where she grew in the Lord and a desire to help the poor and homeless was placed in and grew in her heart. In 1978, Mother Justice moved to Tampa, Florida, with this desire in her heart. After a season of fasting, prayer and laying out before the Lord, the ministry, Dorcas House Ministries, Inc. was birthed. Dorcas House opened its doors on Amelia Avenue in Tampa, Florida, and welcomed in homeless women and women with children. Not only were they temporarily sheltered, they were fed daily, assisted in getting jobs and attended Bible Study each evening. Many, many people were led to the Lord, fed, clothed, sheltered and ministered to daily. God used her to work in this ministry from 1978 to 2004 when she closed the doors and relocated to Warner Robins, Georgia. In her 80’s, ill health caused her to begin slowing down.

Her memory will be remembered and honored by her daughter, Minister Rebecca Brothers (Joseph) of Warner Robins, Georgia; son, William Wood, Jr. of Los Angeles, California; grandchildren, Terri Murray, Joseph Brothers, Jr., Staci Ali Ibrahim, Christine Wood, Jeffrey Brothers (Nikki), and Tamisha Bembry (Bwana); great-grandchildren, David Brothers, Dontae Roberts, Franchesca Brothers, Johnathan Jackson, Moriah Carswell, Gregory Carswell, Rebekah Carswell, Trevon Brothers, Chalon Bembry, Jai Bembry, Michael Brothers, Joy Bembry, Alex Brothers, Yousef Ali Ibrahim, and Eaeden Ali Ibrahim; five great-great grandchildren; grand-nephew, John Harvey III (Shawna) of Snellville, Georgia; grand-niece, Gina Berry of Nashville, Tennessee; great-grandnephew, Aaron Jerome Smith; and a host of other family members and friends.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, December 7, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home with visitation one hour prior to the service. Mother Justice will be laid to rest in Magnolia Park Cemetery following the service.
