Evelyn Priscilla Anderson Ferguson

On the morning of Tuesday, November 22, 2022, our beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother, Evelyn Priscilla Anderson Ferguson, passed away peacefully at home, at the age of 96. Evelyn was born in Macon, Georgia on May 20, 1926, the daughter of the late Robert Lee and Essie Potter Anderson. She was a wife, mother and grandmother first and foremost, but she dedicated over 42 years of Civil Service at Robins Air Force Base before retiring. For fun, Evelyn loved dancing, bowling, watching her soap operas, growing flowers and plants and crocheting. She also had a soft spot for puppies and kittens and was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star.

Her memory will forever be treasured by her loving sons, Robert C. Ferguson (Diane), Charles E. Ferguson and William J. Ferguson (Bissiret); grandchildren, Scott Ferguson (Shannon), Shannon Fuller (Stacey), Chuck Ferguson (Anae), Brandi Highman (Jeff), Betsy Ferguson (Justin), Craig Ferguson (Tasha), Amanda Ferguson, Trey Chism and Dominique Gregory (Josh); great-grandchildren, Gabriella Ferguson, Kayla Ferguson, Laramie Spivey (Jacob), Jarred Fuller, McKinley Fuller, Abbey Lauritsen (Josh), Kelsee Nobles (Will), Chaz Ferguson, Lydia Ferguson, Jack Highman, Reese Highman, Channing Ferguson, Mason Puckett, Kate Ferguson, Ethan Ferguson, August Gregory and Amir Gregory; 10 great-great-grandchildren; and sisters, Margaret, Mary and Arlene. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 63 years, Robert Chester Ferguson, Sr.; and her daughter-in-law, Bobbie Ferguson.

Visitation will be Friday, November 25, 2022, from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 26, 2022, at Southside Baptist Church in Kathleen. Evelyn will be laid to rest next to her husband in Magnolia Park Cemetery following the service.
