Faye Holley

December 13, 1934 — August 25, 2020

Faye Holley, 85, of Centerville went to be with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, August 25, 2020. The daughter of the late Roy LaGrone and Maude Watson LaGrone, Faye was the widow of Jack Earl Holley. The Holleys had been married for 56 years before his passing in 2010. Faye was preceded in death by her sisters, Jean Hudgins and Joyce Raynor, and brother Donny LaGrone.

If one thing could be said about Faye, it was that she loved the Lord. She was a devout Christian who spent most of her life in the Warner Robins area and was a member of First Baptist Church of Centerville. At church she was known for her love of Christ and for her children. She was a Sunday school teacher who was also a member of the First Baptist Church Senior Citizens and Women’s Missionary Union. Faye adored the music by the Gaither Quartet, often singing her favorite hymns, Just As I Am, Amazing Grace, and the Old Rugged Cross.

Known for her sweet disposition, Faye was described as tough as nails but also sweet as honeysuckle by her friends and family. She retired from her clerical position at the Centerville Water Department.

Left to cherish her memory are children Michael Roy Holley of Centerville and Carol LaValle (Gene) of Cleveland Ohio; and grandchildren, Vanessa LaValle and Gene LaValle.

The family requests no home visitation at this time due to the Covid pandemic.
