Frances "Lynn" Bishop

In the early morning hours of Wednesday, November 4, 2020, Lynn Bishop entered into eternal rest at the age of 67. She was born to the late Plemon D. and Sarah Griffin Owens on October 12, 1953 in Fitzgerald, Georgia.

From the time Lynn was a young girl, she possessed a natural gift of helping and taking care of others. She utilized this attribute for years as a Registered Nurse before retiring from the Labor and Delivery department at Houston Medical Center. This quality also shone through in her way of taking everyone under her wing as their adoptive “Mom;” she had a soft spot for all children and was like a mother to so many. In her free time, Lynn enjoyed sewing, gardening, reading books, watching movies, and loving on all animals, especially her fur babies, Roxie and Pepper.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Michael J. Owens, Bobby Owens, Gene Owens, and Donnie Owens.

Those left to cherish Lynn’s memory are her loving children, Larry “David” Bishop, Jr. (Jayne) and Michael Aaron Bishop; granddaughter, Allyson Lyn Bishop; sisters, Brenda Crutchfield and Tricia Taylor (Lamuel); and sister-in-law, Laverne Owens.

Lynn will be laid to rest in a graveside funeral service on Saturday, November 7, 2020 at 3:00 p.m. in Glen Haven Memorial Gardens.
