Frankie Parkerson Bond

August 7, 1934 — July 22, 2008

Frankie Bond, 73, loving wife and mother, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday morning, July 22, 2008.

Frankie was born in Dodge County. For the last twelve years, she has been a faithful member of Central Baptist Church in Warner Robins. During this time she was a member of the Joyner A Sunday School class where she served as their Prayer Leader. She was a member of Central's Sanctuary Choir and also served as an intercessory prayer partner.

Prior to joining Central in 1996, Frankie was a member of Evergreen Baptist Church for thirty-nine years. While there, she was a very active member of WMU and served in the Children's Sunday School as a teacher, Sunday School and VBS Director.

Frankie worked as a volunteer at the Senior Citizens Activity Center as a ceramics instructor for about ten years. An avid reader, she also enjoyed working with ceramics and arts and crafts.

Dear to her heart too was a group known as "Circle of Friends" that began at Evergreen Baptist Church. This close-knit group of friends of forty people or so, vacationed together yearly and supported each other in trials and tribulations for over forty years.

Frankie was predeceased by her parents, Mary and Tom Parkerson; one son, Scott Bond; two sisters and six brothers.

Cherishing her memory are her husband, Wilber Bond, Warner Robins; sons, Phil Bond, Macon, and David (Chris) Bond, Frisco, Texas; daughter, Sharon (David) Nist, Carrollton; grandchildren, Lauren and Jacob Bond, Frisco, Texas, Chris, AJ and Caleb Nist, Carrollton; brothers, Roy (Julia) Parkerson, Cadwell, and Talmadge Parkerson , Eastman.

Visitation will be Thursday, July 24, 2008 from 7:00 until 9:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. Funeral services will be officiated by Dr. Owen Bozeman, Rev. Paul Cowles, and Rev. Joe Senter at Central Baptist Church at 11:00 a.m Friday, July 25, 2008. That afternoon, there will be graveside service at 3:30 p.m. at New Union Cemetery, on Soperton Road in Eastman, Rev. Tim Millwood and Rev. Paul Cowles officiating. Pall bearers will be Bud Whisinand, Joe Stemple, George West, Harold Giddens, Felton Campbell, John Killingsworth, Jerome Singletary, and Earl Coffey. Donations should be made to Central Baptist Church Building Fund, 1120 Lake Joy Road, Warner Robins 31088 or the American Cancer Society, 804 Cherry Street, Suite A, Macon GA 31201
