Fumi Ferguson

After a courageous battle with Myelodysplastic Syndrome, Fumi "Nell" Ferguson, 75, found peace and entered into heaven surrounded by family on Saturday, June 20, 2009.

Mrs. Ferguson was born on May 28, 1934 in Yubari, Japan. Taking care of her family as a homemaker she also enjoyed sewing, crocheting, decorating and spending time outdoors. Oakland Baptist Church was her church home. Her parents, Suekichi and Suzu Kitazaki, preceded her in death.

A loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother, her memory will forever be treasured by her loving husband of fifty-six years, Jesse Ferguson, Kathleen; daughters, Linda Ferguson Schneider (John), Summerfield, North Carolina and Susan Ferguson Arrington (Dick), Kathleen and three grandchildren, Jonathan and Alexandra Schneider, and Jesse Alldredge.

Visitation will be Tuesday, June 23, 2009 from 7:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 24, 2009 in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home with interment following in Glen Haven Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to the American Cancer Society, 804 Cherry Street Suite A. Macon, Georgia 31201.
