Gale Ezra "Tucker" Haught, Jr.

October 1, 1943 — May 28, 2021

Gale Ezra “Tucker” Haught, Jr., entered into eternal rest with his Lord and Savior on Friday, May 28, 2021. Born on October 1, 1943, Salisbury, NC, Tucker graduated from Decatur High School in Decatur, GA. He continued his education at the University of Georgia, and was an active member of Sigma Phi Epsilon fraternity. While studying business at The University of Georgia, Tucker met the love of his life for 48 years, Alice Teresa Foster “Terry” Haught. Tucker later earned his Masters of Business Administration at Middle Georgia College and State University. Tucker was an independent business owner of Heritage Business Forms and Midtown Self Storage in Warner Robins for many years.

Tucker served his country honorably as a Navy soldier. During his service in the Navy, Tucker bravely completed a tour in Vietnam, where he was stationed as a guard to a Christian missionary home for war orphans among many other areas in which his skills were required. Tucker was a true patriot to his beloved USA, as in later life, he participated in the Robins Air Force Base Civilian Military Affairs Committee as well as The Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve. Tucker was an active Rotarian member for many years, a Mason, a 23rd Degree Shriner, a volunteer firefighter and first responder when the Quail Run subdivision was first formed, and an active, generous member of his community, ready to serve his fellow man at a moments notice.

Tucker’s proudest accomplishment was his family. He was married to Terry Haught for 48 years and fathered two children, Brian Tucker Haught and Marcia “Marcy” Lynn Haught. Tucker and Terry settled down in Warner Robins to raise their family. Tucker was so proud when Brian and Marcy both graduated from Northside High School. He celebrated Brian’s pursuit of his career in music and Marcy’s career in healthcare. He was even more proud to be called Papa by his grandchildren Tyler, Dalton, and Cameron Haymans, as well as Lilly Haught. Tucker was loved very much by his friends and cherished by his family.

Tucker was preceded in death by his father Gale Ezra Haught, Sr., mother Evelyn Tuel Haught, brother Donald Tucker Haught, and beloved wife Terry Haught. Tucker is survived by his son and family, Brian Haught (Monik) and granddaughter Lilly; his daughter, Marcy Haymans (Bryan) and grandsons Tyler, Dalton, and Cameron Haymans. Tucker also leaves behind several brothers and sisters-in-law, many nieces and nephews, a large amount of extended family, and infinite loving friends and colleagues.
