George Wallace Keene Iii

George Keene III, 70, went to be with the Lord on the evening of Friday, May 5, 2017.

George was born on February 4, 1947 in Tampa, Florida to the late Flora and George Wallace Keene II. He was a proud United States Army Veteran and owned a successful heavy equipment company for many years. Mr. Keene was very skilled with his hands and absolutely loved working on things and tinkering around in his workshop. In his free time, he also enjoyed fishing, boating, hunting, dancing, animals, and spending time with his family and friends. George was an easygoing, fun-loving, charismatic southern gentleman who never met a stranger. Everyone who knew him loved him, even the hospital staff. Mr. Keene's wit, charm, kindness, and consideration toward people is a legacy that will be carried on in the lives of everyone he touched.

His memory will forever be treasured by his loving children, George Wallace Keene IV and Todd Michael Keene; girlfriend, Judy Miller Vickery; and brother, Robert Daniel Keene.

At the family's request, all services will be private.
