Gladys C. Ivie

June 6, 1928 — August 22, 2008

Gladys C. Ivie, 80, made her heavenly flight to be with her Lord and Savior on August 22, 2008.

Mrs. Ivie was born on June 4, 1928, in Telfair County. She retired from Robins Air Force Base as a Supply Specialist. She was also a licensed barber and cosmetologist, and a member of the Disabled American Veterans Ladies Auxiliary Club. She worshipped at Grovania Community Church. Her husband of nineteen years, Everett J. Ivie, and parents, Henry G. Caldwell and Janie Caldwell, preceded her in death.

Family members include her sons, Glenn (Annette) Holcomb and Wayne (Debbie) Holcomb; grandchildren, Leah, Rebecca, Wayne Jr. and Lacey Holcomb and Heather Virden; great-grandchildren, Mark Holcomb and Meg Virden.

Visitation will be Saturday, August 23, 2008, at 2:30 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday, August 23, 2008, in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home with Chaplain Mike Rogers and Reverend Wayne Holcomb, Sr. officiating. Interment will follow in Glen Haven Memorial Gardens. Memorials may be given to Heart of Georgia Hospice, 103 Westridge Drive, Warner Robins GA 31088.
