Gladys Jean Nittmann passed away peacefully in her sleep on Sunday, January 24, 2021.
She was born on February 9, 1948 to the late Charlie Hunsaker and Fairy Jane Woodall Hunsaker in Sherman, Texas. Gladys married the love of her life, Carl William Nittmann, on September 9, 1967 and was adored by him until the very end. She was a loving mother who was devoted to her family. Gladys enjoyed playing tennis, crafting, watching movies and reading a good book.
In addition to her parents, Gladys was preceded in death by her daughter, Chandra Jane Nittmann and her brother, Robert Hunsaker.
Left to cherish her memory are her loving husband of 53 years, Carl Nittmann; daughter, Krista Anne Nittmann; and grandchildren, Hope Cielo Hebert and Noah Jake Hebert.
A memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 30, 2021 in the chapel at McCullough Funeral Home with Chaplain Brad Blackmon officiating. For friends unable to attend at this time, the service will be streamed live via the McCullough Funeral Home Facebook page at www.facebook.com/mcculloughfuneralhome/live/.
In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests that donations be made in Gladys’ memory to the Alzheimer’s Association, 886 Mulberry St., Macon, GA 31201.
