Glenn Olin Buchanan

Glenn Olin Buchanan, 81, entered into rest on Thursday, January 31, 2013.

Mr. Buchanan was born on June 7, 1931 in Sylva, North Carolina to the late Thad Buchanan and Letha McMahan Buchanan. He proudly served his country in the United States Air Force during the Korean Conflict and retired from Civil Service at Robins Air Force Base after thirty-five years. A sports fanatic, Mr. Buchanan enjoyed all sports including fishing and golfing, and he loved the Atlanta Braves and Atlanta Falcons. He was a devoted member of First Baptist Church Centerville and the Roy Despirito Sunday School Class.

His memory will forever be treasured by his loving wife of fifty-five years, Mavis Hall Buchanan, Warner Robins; children, Steve Buchanan (Kelly) of Kathleen and Glenda Spillers (Ken Maynor) of Warner Robins; grandchildren, Beau Buchanan (Carrie) and Kelsey Spillers; great-granddaughter, Ellie Galeano; and siblings, Ila, Roger, Verna, Earl, Dan, Ruth, and Howard.

Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, February 3, 2013 in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home with interment following in Magnolia Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. The family will accept flowers or donations may be made to First Baptist Church Centerville Building Fund, 108 Church Street, Centerville, GA 31028.
