Gloria Janet Plank

Gloria Janet Plank, 86, entered into rest on Wednesday, January 25, 2023.

Janet was born on March 11, 1936, in Shreveport, Louisiana to the late Marcus Phillips and Betty Armstrong. Janet was a woman of many interests. She loved to shop and read in her free time. She loved sweets and had a special spot in her heart for horses. She enjoyed the colors found in nature, especially in the mountains or in the fall. A world traveler, Janet traversed the globe while raising her young family; she especially enjoyed the time she spent living in Italy.

In addition to her parents, Janet was preceded in death by her daughters, Tami Singleton and Traci Plank. Her memory will forever be treasured by her children, Laurie Wood (Phil), and Daniel Plank; her grandchildren, Alicia Martin (Josh) Ashley Wood, Brandi Waters (Kenneth), Keegan Plank (Ashley Dunlea), Ryleigh Plank and Rhiannon Plank; great-grandchildren, Toby Martin, Avery Martin, Kimberly Waters Jameson Waters, and Forrest Plank; and nephews, Michael Norman and Scott Norman (Liz).

A graveside memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 4, 2023, at Magnolia Park Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully suggests memorial donations be given in memory of Janet Plank to Brightmoor Hospice at 3247 Newnan Road, Griffin, GA 30223.
