Gloria "June" Carroll

June Carroll, 66, loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and aunt, entered Heaven’s gate on Tuesday, November 12, 2019. Born in Dublin, Georgia, June was the daughter of the late Kelly Purvis and Martha Sue Purvis. She met the love of her life, Jeff, in high school and they quickly became sweethearts. She retired from Central Georgia Hematology and Oncology after 25 years as an Office Administrator. Of the Baptist faith, June was an active member of Shirley Hills Baptist Church for over 30 years. She was caring, outgoing, and a shopaholic. June was a fantastic cook and baker and was famous for her pecan pies and brownies. Whether it was shopping, spending time with friends, or traveling, June loved to be on the go. She traveled to many beautiful destinations and always said she loved making memories. Most recently, she and Jeff celebrated 50 years of marriage by taking a Viking Cruise in Switzerland. Above all, June loved deeply and always put her family first. She will truly be missed by all those she held near and dear to her heart.

Her memory will forever be treasured by her loving husband of 50 years, Jeff Carroll; son, Jeffrey Carroll, Jr. (Robin), daughter, Tracy Carroll Sellers (Scott); five grandchildren, Brandon, Austin, Keegan, Wyatt, and Lily Kate; brothers, Greg Caldwell of Lake City, Florida; Alan Purvis (May) of Centerville, Georgia; sister, Debbie Jenigan (Tyrus) of Clayton, Georgia; and many beloved nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be Thursday, November 14, 2019, from 12:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. at Shirley Hills Baptist Church with a funeral service celebrating her life immediately following in the church at 2:00 p.m. Afterward, Mrs. Carroll will be laid to rest in Magnolia Park Cemetery.
