Gloria Del Pilar Arminio Messer

Gloria Pilar Messer, 69, walked into the gates of heaven surrounded by family and friends on Friday, February 16, 2018.

Gloria was born in Madrid, Spain on March 24, 1948 to the late Pedro and Carolina Arminio. She devoted her life to faithfully serving her husband, raising her children, and making their home one filled with love and happiness. She also enjoyed cooking and vacationing back to her home in Spain whenever she was able. Gloria truly loved and lived her life by example always putting her family first. The legacy of her sweet, giving personality, and never-ending support to her family will always be carried on in each of their hearts.

Her memory will forever be treasured by her loving husband, Charles Messer and children, Charles E. Messer (Vanessa) and Christina M. O’Brien (Mike), all of Warner Robins; grandchildren, Tia Ostrow (Corey), Kayla Shumway (Chris), Tyler Messer (Brianna), and Torrey Messer; great-grandchildren, Joseph Messer Ostrow, Elliana Messer Ostrow, and Levi Messer; siblings, Pedro Arminio and Paloma Sanchez; several nieces and nephews; and her very best friend and sister of 35 years, Ana Ludwig.

Visitation will be Monday, February 19, 2018, from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, February 19, 2018 in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home with Monsignor Fred Nijem officiating. Afterwards, Mrs. Messer will be laid to rest in Magnolia Park Cemetery.

The family will accept flowers or donations may be given in memory of Mrs. Gloria Messer to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Pl., Memphis, TN 38105.
