Grace D. Cherrington

Grace D. Cherrington, 99, formerly of Macon, passed away on Thursday, December 16, 2010.

For the past four years, Grace enjoyed living at Summerhill Assisted Living Facility in the Veranda East building. She previously lived in Macon, Georgia for over thirty years attending Riverside Methodist Church and participating in the Bridge Club at Vineville Christian Towers on Thursday nights for many years. She was born and raised outside of Bainbridge, Georgia. After marrying, she moved to Warner Robins and worked at Robins Air Force Base until retiring in 1965 to travel with her second husband, Finlay M. "Cherry" Cherrington. She will be missed by the many lives she touched.

Her memory will forever be treasured by her only daughter, Carolyn Conrad Dick of Perry; grandchildren, Leslie Harmon (Don), of Sioux Falls, South Dakota; Robert Dick, Jr. of Lizella; Barbara Stuart (Kem) of Macon; and Andy Dick of Perry; sister, Aliene Dunn of Birmingham, AL; and brother, Jack Dasher (Katie), of Bainbridge.

The family would like to express their sincere appreciation for the wonderful care and compassion of the entire staff at Summerhill Assisted Living in Perry.

Services and burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully suggests memorial donations to Heart of Georgia Hospice, 103 Westridge Drive, Warner Robins, Georgia 31088.
