On Monday November 7, 2022, Gregory Antonio Haugabrook, joined his beloved wife, Rosalynd Margaret Haugabrook, in Heaven. He was only 62 years old.
Gregory Antonio Haugabrook, born on July 2, 1960 in Cordele, Georgia, USA, was the third child of the late Herbert Lee Haugabrook and Jennie-Rose Haugabrook, and is survived by his seven children, Alexis, Deidra Tyree Smith, Mario Mirelez (Ashley), Marcel, Shanel Hickman (Rachel), Alexandria Jackson (Richmond), and Tashonda; eleven grandchildren, Keyshawn Williams, Kadarius “AJ” Holton, Dontre “Jukie” Holton, Adrion Holton, Sanai Haugabrook, Adriana Mirelez, Carlin and Carmello Ervin, Gyselle Mclean, Ava Mirelez, Rileigh Ervin, Tyson Mirelez; siblings, Crystal Witherspoon (James), Lucretia Hill (Michael), Eric Haugabrook, Stacy Clarke (Lloyd); nieces, Briana (Ernesto), Tatiyani, Alora, Morgan, Jasmine; nephews, Brandon (Danielle), Michael (Kimber), Jason (Samantha), Mason (Nicole), Derrick, Jamie; as well as many aunts, uncles, grand-nieces and nephews, and cousins whom he loved dearly.
In addition to his parents and his wife, Rosalynd Margaret Haugabrook born on January 28, 1961, in Greenville, South Carolina, Gregory was preceded in death by his brother, Nathan Haugabrook.
Upon graduating from Warner Robins High School, Gregory attended Truett McConnell University on a basketball scholarship. Then, he served in the United States Air Force on numerous assignments overseas and stateside for 13 years. While in the military, he played basketball in the Air Force and as a star player on the team, he was given the nickname “Quick.” Though his passion for basketball continued throughout his life, his other love was music. The lead singer in multiple bands, including reggae and old school, he enjoyed performing songs by his favorite artists, like Luther Vandross, Hall and Oats, and Brian McKnight.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, November 13, 2022, from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. and Funeral services will take place at 3:00 p.m. on Monday, November 14, 2022, both at McCullough Funeral Home, 417 S Houston Lake Road, Warner Robins, Georgia, 31088.
