Gwen Horsley Jackson

Gwen Jackson, 70, passed away on Sunday, April 1, 2007.

Mrs. Jackson was born on February 15, 1937 in Winston County, Alabama. She was a member of Sandy Valley Baptist Church. Gwen retired from civil service at Robins Air Force Base where she worked as a financial analyst. She was always willing to help others and enjoyed being a volunteer with Heart of Georgia Hospice. Her parents, Tuck and Esta Mae Horsley, sister, Eloise Kruter, all preceded her in death.

Survivors include her husband, George L. Jackson, Sr., Warner Robins; children, George L. Jackson, Jr. (Daphne), James Russell Jackson, all of Long Beach, CA; siblings, Carolyn Howard, Francis Albert, Alvin Horsley, all of Jacksonville, FL; and Russell Horsley, KY.

Visitation will be held Tuesday evening from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, April 4, 2007 in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home with interment following in Parkway Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to the American Cancer Society 804 Cherry Street Ste. A, Macon, GA 31201.
