Gwendolyn Hackney

Gwendolyn Hackney, 68, passed away on Monday, February 21, 2005 at Coliseum Medical Center. Services will be held at 6:00 pm on Wednesday, February 23, 2005 in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home. Memorial may be given to the Humane Society 1550 Hardeman Avenue, Macon Ga. 31210.

Mrs. Hackney was born in Varnel, Georgia. She was of Baptist faith. Mrs. Hackney was employed at S & S Cafeteria for 10 years. She enjoyed the outdoors and loved cats. She also enjoyed cooking for her family and friends. Her parents, Luther and Hattie Dills, preceded her in death.

Survivors include her daughters, Angie Peavy (Shag), Macon; Cynthia Callaway (Glenn), North Carolina; sons, Anthony Franklin “Tony” Hackney (Debbie), Macon; Curtis Lee Hackney (Nancy), Macon; brother, James Dills, Dalton; great aunt, Ruby White, Dalton; grandchildren, Rachel Peavy, Michael Atkinson, Jr., T.J Hackney; Tiffany Hackney; Kevin Yates; Christopher Hackney; great grandchild, James Duncan.
