Gwinnette Williamson

January 15, 1949 — June 4, 2014

Gwinnette Williamson entered into eternal life on June 4, 2014 after a two year struggle with cancer. Her strong will to live, unwavering faith in God, and the love and prayers of family, friends, and many supporters, carried her through two long years of chemotherapy. Yet throughout her own struggle with cancer, she continually reached out to others stricken by this horrendous disease.

Gwinnette was born to Estelle and William R Hamil. She was the oldest of five children. She carried many responsibilities throughout her life and instilled those values in her son, Ashley Williamson.

Gwinnette is survived by her mother, Estelle Hamil, father, William "Bill" Hamil; sisters, Judy Goodman (Ben) and Denese Tabor (Alvin), brother, Gary Hamil (Jan), and has joined her youngest sister, Tracy Dockery, in God's Kingdom. She is also survived by her son, Ashley Williamson (Rachel), granddaughter, Maura Williamson, and many nieces and nephews.

Those that knew Gwinnette know that she possessed a signature gift of gab and joy shown through her laughter, practical jokes, and a certain skill of "cruising with the top back" that will never be forgotten. Nor will her empowering devotion to her family and close friends. There will never be another like her!

The family would like to extend gracious prayer to all God's angels that helped lengthen the time that we had with Gwinnette.
