Harold Lee Holt

Harold Holt, 80, entered into rest on Saturday, November 20, 2010.

Born on April 16, 1930 in Liberal, Kansas, Mr. Holt retired from Civil Service as a Parts Logistics Specialist after 25 years of faithful service. He was a member of Centerville First Baptist Church where he served as a Deacon and Sunday School secretary. He demonstrated his strong commitment to his community as Centerville Senior Citizen Director and an Houston Healthcare Auxiliary Volunteer. He was predeceased by his parents, George Lester Holt and Margaret Irma Brown Holt, as well as siblings Barbara Mullins and Warren Holt.

He will live in the hearts of his wife of 55 ½ years, Doris Fern Holt, Warner Robins; son, Max Holt (Latrelle), Newnan; daughter, Gaylene Childs (Daniel), Warner Robins; son, Dennis Holt (Sherri), Decatur, Alabama; daughter, Marcia Holt, Warner Robins; son, Scott Holt (Endia), Jacksonville, Florida; twelve grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; sisters, Evelyn Brecheisen, Wellsville, Kansas, Jean Chitwood, Welda, Kansas, Venita Money, Canton, Ohio and Eunice Thompson, Kansas City, Kansas; brother Dean Holt, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 23, 2010, at McCullough Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, November 24, 2010 at First Baptist Church of Centerville, Dr. Allen Hughes and the Reverend Sidney Odom officiating. Interment will follow in Magnolia Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully suggests memorial donations to Lottie Moon Fund, First Baptist Church, 108 Church Street, Centerville GA 31028.
