Harris R. Vickers

Harris R. Vickers, 77, entered into rest on Saturday, December 17, 2011.

Mr. Vickers was born on April 26, 1934 in Ashburn, and had lived in Middle Georgia since 1965. An Army Veteran, he was Assistant Manager at Wal-Mart for ten years, and had retired as a Route Supervisor from Flowers Bakery after working for seventeen years. He was an avid outdoors man and loved to garden. His parents, Lawton Vickers and Jewel Rentz Vickers, preceded him in death.

His memory will forever be treasured by his loving wife of forty-eight years, Shirley Gay Vickers; children, Dawn Cavanah (Brian), Warner Robins, Keith Vickers, Maceo, Kentucky, Jerry Dominy (Laurie), Jacksonville, Florida, and Dennis Dominy (Johnette), Eldorado, Arkansas; ten grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; brothers, Eugene Vickers, Macon, and Donnie Vickers, Fitzgerald; and sister, Marion Gains, Fitzgerald.

Visitation will be Tuesday, December 20, 2011 from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 20, 2011 in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home.
