Helen Dorsey Stephens

Helen Dorsey Stephens, 83, entered into rest on Monday, February 24, 2014.

Helen was born on February 18, 1931 in Canton, Georgia and was of the Protestant faith. A warm and giving person, she devoted her life to her family and taking care of people. Helen had a green thumb and loved gardening, especially growing flowers and fruit trees. Some of her other talents included painting, drawing, and sketching.

Her husband, Earl Maddox Stephens; parents, David Love and Annie Bell Charles Dorsey; and brothers, Jasper and Billy Dorsey, preceded her in death.

Her memory will forever be treasured by her adoring children, Shelia Laws (Johnny) of Centerville, Georgia, Betty Ann Massey of West Point, Georgia, Anthony Deon Stephens of Unadilla, Georgia and Andrea Michelle Carlson (Byron) of Colorado Springs, Colorado; ten grandchildren; eighteen great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and sister, Jewell Dorsey.
